To our readers: On page 22 of the May 16 edition of The Valley Press under the headline “Speakers raise cost concerns with garage proposal,” dateline Canton, there were a factual inaccuracies printed. The correct facts, according to Canton Chief Administrative Officer Robert Skinner, are as follows: the proposed highway garage will cost the average taxpayer a total of $23 next fiscal year. In fiscal year 2014/2015 the garage will cost the average taxpayer $105 for the entire year. Additionally, the town is borrowing 6 million dollars for road improvements.
